My latest trip to Romania took me to a beautiful monastery in Sinaia in the middle of Charpatian mountains, home to about 20 monks.
The gem of this monastery is the small church built in Byzantine style in 1695 and placed in the middle of the side courtyard.
The large Orthodox Church dates from 1846 and holds two icons presented by Russia’s Tsar Nicolas II in 1903; outside ore prayer candles.
